Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, aka Ari Lennox, was born in Washington, D.C. on April 26th, 1991. She is an American musician and singer. She was the first artist to be signed by J. Cole to his record label Dreamville Records. On the 21st of October, 2016 she debuted Pho, her first EP for the Dreamville Records label. That was the day she gained her first recognition. Shea Butter Baby released her first album of studio work 7 May 2019. Ari Lennox first released songs online in the year 2012. The singer released her debut album Ariography and her mixtape debut in 2013 with Five Finger Discount. The year 2014 saw Ari Lennox continued posting her music on the internet, including her self-released single Bound. She appeared in Omen's Elephant Eyes, on Sweat It Out on the 21st of July the 21st of July, 2015. J. Cole was interested in her talents and was keen to collaborate together with Rihanna. On the 8th of December, it was revealed that she had signed to Dreamville Records. The release album Revenge of the Dreamers II which she was featured on, she sang the track Backseat alongside Cozz. Her Pho EP was released on her debut album on October 21, 2016. Ari Lennox performed the song Change by J. Cole as well as being an opener on The 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. She was joined by EarthGang. In 2018, she appeared in two tracks, including EarthGang's Nothing but the Best song and Bas's Icarus. Ari Lennox, on the 16th July, 2018 was the first artist to release her single "Whipped Cream" from Shea Butter Baby. The music video for it was also released on September 5th. On November 9 she released two singles titled 40 Shades of Choke and Grampa. Two more singles were released on the 11th of November, titled Pedigree and No One. She appeared with Cole in the Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby On November 16th, and she released the song as a solo single for the album she released her debut. The 20th of February, 2019 a music video was released to promote the song. It already has over three million hits on YouTube within the first week. In December 2018 she performed on her From East Atlanta With Love Tour that featured 6LACK.
