Anushka performed with Shahid Kapoor, Vir Das, and Meiyang Chang in the 2010 film "Badmash Company". The film was met with mixed receptions. Anushka Sharma starred in the film "Band Baaja Baaraat. She portrayed a Punjabi woman in the middle class, who has her own wedding business. It was a surprise hit and received good reviews. Anushka had signed the contract for three films with Yash Raj Films.
